This is the concept of a smart food delivery vehicle system that is co-built by Uber Eats in 2040. It is made up of an autonomous base station and delivery robots, ensuring better consumer service and experience. The system is designed to save time. Also, the whole delivery service could be completed by the intelligent delivery robots instead of the delivery staff to save costs. If there is a special need, the consumer could communicate directly with the restaurant. It is a one-to-one service with less person-to-person contact and the consumer can check the deliveries' route and estimate the time of arrival via their mobile phones.
