Jasdeep Kular

Hi, I'm Jasdeep Kular. I'm a Product Designer who loves to develop new and innovative ideas and most of all, I enjoy acquiring new skills to better equip myself in industrial design, whether working on a personal project or a clientele brief. I'm a recent graduate from Coventry University, with a six-month industry placement in Pisa, Italy at PQ Design Studio. When not designing I spend my time exercising, playing games and reading comics.

I introduce Lumina, a multipurpose fire alarm system designed for hearing-impaired individuals who live alone or with others. It consists of a fire-detecting device, smart lightbulb and an App. Simply replace existing lightbulbs in the house and attach the fire alarm easily using its magnetic system. Once a fire is detected, Lumina sends a signal to the bulb to emit a flashing visual alert to individuals in the vicinity. With a combination of visual and sound alerts, users can get to safety immediately.
