Yung Kiu Choi

My name is Yung Kiu Choi and I have a nickname, which is ‘Renee’. I like drawing during my leisure time and will try different styles by looking at various artworks from the Internet. Sometimes, I would mimic the way that they draw. It is a very interesting process to learn something from the others but also practice my drawing skills and help myself generating special ideas.

Through my current studies, I have learned how to transfer some literal ideas into visual form by using various techniques in order to develop concepts. For instance, using mood boards to collect different creative information, making a collage for exploring the ideas, or conducting research on other artists to see how they work.

Out of the designing area, I also like singing. I see it as a motivation for me to work better. I enjoy the moment when I am listening to music. Music can inspire ideas and make me feel relaxed. It could slow down the busy lifestyle and bring me into another space. It is also a relaxing method that I have used when stressed about my designs.
