A documentary which explores the life of my 92-year-old grandmother. The piece seeks to curate the life experiences of a woman who has lived through many of the 20th century’s greatest events: From the Great Depression to World War 2. Some of which are explored through the day to day life of a woman from a small Warwickshire town. I wanted to sensitively explore through my Grandmother’s private reflections; her childhood, the war, working and family life and capturing today as a 92-year-old, independently living woman - how life changed and how she had to adapt to thrive.

With already having an outstanding appreciation for history, I wanted to elaborate upon this and develop an artefact which encompasses those aspects. I knew my Grandmother had many stories from over her lifetime and I wanted to encapsulate those remarkable tales and explore the journey of her life in the format of a Documentary. A medium where people can be educated on her era, as well as listening to a truly emotive piece from an honest, loveable individual, full of wisdom.
